So, here I am, doing a lot of nothing. I can't figure out why I am so busy. I am on 24h call again tomorrow, and we have an OR case to do--yeah! The internet and phones were down for a few days--they do that when a soldier becomes "an angel" here. Still going to the gym a lot, then walking to and from the dining facility--that seems to take all day. Working on CME/CEU things--we do presentations to each other a few times a week. Went to country dancing again last night. That's always fun. Usually there are only 5-6 girls there dancing, and the rest are men, mostly marines--which means I get to dance a lot. They have karaoke every Thurs night, but since I need some alcohol in me to sing in front of people, and there is none of that here...........
TTFN. Thanks again to everyone who writes, and sends me cool stuff. I really do LOVE hearing from home. I feel very far away (duh, I guess I am).

Allison,
I'm glad to hear you made it to Iraq safely and seem to be doing well. We sure do miss you around here, it's been super busy. I'm making dinner for your boys on Monday - any suggestions? Also, is there anything you want or need that I could send to you?
Take care,
Susan
Hi Ali,
I have finally figured out how to send messages. Your blog is wonderful, I love the pictures and all the messages you can send. Jake and I went over to your house on Friday night to visit the boys and Brian and they are doing well and miss you tons!! We are all miss you at work as well and are counting the days until you return. It sounds like you are keeping busy with all the working out and dancing you are doing. Jake and I are talking about and hoping to take dance lessions any day now so when you get back we all should got out dancing. Not a lot going on with us compared to what you are doing. But since you just cut your hair, I wanted to let you know I just cut mine all off too, I bobbed it, and it's pretty cute. The military is a whole different world but I bet it's pretty weird to be carrying your weapon and wearing combat boots in the O.R. Alison you are amazing and we are all so proud of you. Be safe and I'm glad you arrived safely as well. Let us know if you need something that's not available to you. Jake and I are always sending stuff to my brother. We will talk to you soon. Love, Brandi and Jake
HEY!! Hope you did some dancing this weekend, I had to work, but it wasn't busy. It is 1824, so I feel I can safely say that, hopefully I didn't just jinx Scott. My Cougs won the apple cup last weekend, we had a great time over there, I saw tons of old friends from high school, WOW. Miss you. Oh, I had Skype when I was dated Geoff from New Zealand so once I get things figured out on my computer I will get it again.
Take care, xoxoxo
