Birthday

Well, as most of you know, yesterday was my birthday. My Chu-mates threw me a surprise party. I was completly surprised! Most of our doc's were there, and they ordered pizzas, and we had fake beer. They also got a cake sent from Germany! It was yummy! It was a very nice surprise. Thank you everyone who sent me birthday wishes--I really do appreciate it. Not a bad birthday for being so far from home. It got very cold, and windy today--well our heater went out in our CHU last night, so when we woke up, my thermometer said 52--inside. I know, still warmer than what you are all in. But it was 40 outside--brrrrr.
I Skyped the family today (that means I called them computer to computer on the webcam, so we can see eachother), at my mom's. So I have done this with Brian and the kids, but this was the first time my mom could see me, so that was fun. Technology is a great thing. It seemed like I was in my mom's kitchen today. Christmas day is "hump day", day 45 of 90. Hard to believe I am halfway there. The time has really gone by quickly. Thanks to everyone who sends me emails, cards, and stuff. Happy holidays. love you all.

For anyone who may read this blog--I need to say that I was caught pretty much off guard this am when Brian said "Here, your daughter wants to talk to you" To say I was dumbfounded and surprised to be talking to her and seeing her at the same time is an understatement. I just wish Brian would have let me comb my hair, or gotten out of the oldest bathrobe that I own. It was very fun to see her in person--but I am having a face lift before that happens again!! It is very nice to have the boys (and Bri) here--it snowed and Dillon spent a long time today shoveling snow-for $$ of course. I too must wish all of the readers a very Merry Christmas and thank you for supporting Alison oxoxo MOM

Happy Birthday, again, Oh to be 36 again. Nah, I'd still be in Utah. Half way/ Christmas, what a great milestone, can't wait to see you again. I wish we could all have seen the Red skype, sounds like a blast. Hope it gets a bit warmer for you there, it snows/ melts, gets cold here, surprised? See you soon, with some REAL BEER, Love Rick/Jan.

Hi Alison,
Happy Belated Birthday!!!!
Can't believe how time is passing!!! Hope it's going really fast for you too!!! Really looking forward to seeing you safe and sound mid February back at SHMC. (Of course, that's when you'll want time to slow back down a little). Not much new here,.....not too bad of a Christmas Eve day.... Lots of people got to work just 1/2 a shift. That was very nice. I'm working Christmas day and hoping it's not going to be too busy.........although....just nice and manageable is all I really hope for....steady is okay. Nice feature this year is that there's a 24 hour call person,(Mehran), so....at 1500, I'm actually totally off!!! That's nice!!!

Anyhow, enough of that noise!! Hope you are well, and hanging in there!!!

All is going well here ....in general.

Nothing new to report about work.
Just look forward to seeing you back!!

Take care!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!
Hope to receive word from you before the New Year!!!!!
