More pictures

Hi there. I thought I would put up some more pictures so you all had something to see. Nothing really new here. I did three OR cases yesterday, and today we had four. We see some trauma, but most is extremity injuries. Had a hot appy the other day, which is always exciting. I miss my boys like crazy, and they have lots of snow. It's cold here, but no snow. I posted the weather for Baghdad, but we are a little colder than them. So, on to pictures. This first one is a picture of me in a Cobra helicopter, the day we went to the flightline. The second picture
was taken New Year's Eve, as we huddled outside and watched the Eagles in concert on a laptop outside. It was cold, so we didn't last too long. The last one is just scenery. I took this at sunrise, as the moon was setting, it looked pretty. Funny how my definition of "pretty scenery" has morphed over time, when all I have to view here is flat, brown, and sandy.

I tried to make the text of this posting cooperate, but it insists on jumping in between these pictures. So I apologize for the choppy presentation. :-)
Please write, love to all
-ali

Not much new here...we do have a ton of snow. The kids all had a snow day yesterday but my district was still in session so I had to work. My 40 minute drive to work took over 1 1/2 hours. Take care, we all love and miss you. EJK

Hi Alison,
I am in the dental room at DBDS w/Sam, Bobbi, & the Kolashinski crew. Sam signed me on to your blog. Sounds like you are on the downhill slide now. Hang in there! It has really been snowing which is great for us skiers. My ride in to work today was exciting for a Spokane commute... 9 slide offs oops make that 10 "). No car damage YEA!
New DBDS gossip..Kim & Sam are expecting "Olivia" in April! Steve Linn is moving to Texas. Kathy Westover is going to New Hampshire. Shane has been off all week sick. The schedule is doing it's usual new year slow down. Only 11 cases today. See...some things don't change. Time to sign off. I think we are closing. I will see if the other folks would like to write too. We miss you!

Hi Ali, Cool Sunrise!. Well the total so far from yesterday is 2' of snow with more expected on Friday (tomorrow). Talked to Jim this morning. He said SLC only got 1". How's that for fate! Can't wait for you to get home.

Love Amy

Yes SLC had only 2" of snow, but we up north got hammered! North Ogden got over 2 feet. I was at work all day. It was cool to watch it snow all day, but a bitch to drive home in! Hope it doesn't snow like this when we go to move! Love ya, Jean

Hi Ali,
Just wanted to let you know that it was 65 here in Phoenix today. You know, in case you ever want to move back! :) Ah... sunshine and warmth, and no shoveling! Ask your boys if they're interested.
Stay safe and strong!
Love you much,
-Erin

Brian brought over 4, but I think only 2 are left, so they musta been homesick and flew the coop..as nothing has left evidence of breakin in...pristine snow surrounds the coop. Also just bottled my home made banana wine...will save ya a bottle for your return....its a good 15% ETOH:) still doin lots of night OB and the baby is 30 weeks along!

I finally found your blog! Thanks for sending me the link, you know how I'm challenged in any type of technology, but I'm getting better. Huge snowstorm the other day, I had to get pushed out 4 times and towed out of a snowbank once just to pick up the kids from school. We need the snow but I want it to stay in the mountains. Maybe we should all move down to Phoenix with Erin. Keep safe and know how much you are missed. Oh ya, keep away from the camel spiders. Dayna

Hi Alison,
Again, I am so bad that I don't sit down and write, but please know that I think about you often. I was so glad to hear Erika say that Christmas Day was the mid-way point for you.
I think it's pretty cool how much Erika & Keith help Brian out and vice versa while you are away. What a grand reunion when return to your family and friends.
Thank you so much for the pictures and your stories. Hang in there - much love, Betty & Jerry
