Sunday Volleyball

Hello everyone. Here are some pictures of us playing volleyball. We got a few of us out to play, despite the bitter cold. Everyone who played had fun, and we will try it again next Sunday. It has been cold here, and it actually snowed a skiff last week--see the bottom picture. It turned the fine powdery sand into thick, clay-like mud that sticks to your shoes like cement. Yeesh!
We had a mass casualty drill yesterday at the CSH. They are practicing
their hazmat/decon plan for radiation exposure too. It was your typical army-style Charlie-Foxtrot (C.F.) We had such a fun time, we get to do it again next week!
Well, we are all whining about the cold here. It seems colder here than at home, although the temperature is the same. Might be the dry wind that is always blowing, or perhaps that we have to walk everywhere that makes it seem colder. I thought I would get to miss winter by being here, but apparently not. At least we are not here when it is 140 degrees. The cold is definitely better, plus no camel spiders.
Down to a few more weeks to go, 3+ I think. I hope to be home in about a month. Hard to believe the time has passed so quickly. Thanks again to everyone for checking on my family. Thanks for comments on the blog--I love to read them. Love ya'll

Glad to hear things are going good and going by fast! We had a tour of Krem 2 the other night! Dillon and Ike were perfect angels! We actually had 14 boys, plus siblings sitting off to the side while Randy Shaw, Nadine Woodward and Tom Sherry did the news! It was crazy fun!

Keep up the good work!

ok pokadot--count downs are indeed cool. But I am worrying about the superbowl comig up!! If I am not misataken there were several giant, moster trucks, (all super charged, titanium loaded, and banks and what ever thing that this poor unworthy mother could think of stuck last year! Some got stuck and the others got stuck worse, So my question is are we betting on trucks this year?? And is Betty coming to be the nurse in charge of triage ?? I will gladly come to help, but I will not be in charge of goats or chickens oxoxoxo MO

Hi Ali,

You look so good!! Just a few more weeks and you will be home. heh!!! We can't wait. This week Heather and Liz had a bridal shower at Heather's for Tatyana, we missed you there! The shower was a little late but they got married so fast there was no time to plan. It has been really snowy here, so Jake and I have been snow shoeing and skiing a little. We also have really good news. Jake and I are 7 wks pregnant!! We are due the first week of September. We are very excited to have a little one running around.

I can't believe it is so cold there and it is so hot in the summer, I would have to agree that the cold is better than 140 degrees. How are your pinkies when you were playing volleyball?? Keep dancing and playing volleyball and we will see you in a few weeks.

Stay safe and we are thinking of you everyday.
